Typical admissions requirements

High school diploma or GED
Entrance test (commonly ATI TEAS) at most schools

BCI and FBI background check, drug screen, immunizations, CPR (BLS)

What Ohio requires

• Ohio rules require PN curricula to cover nursing, biological/physical and social sciences, with clinical and lab experience (OAC 4723-5-14).
• Graduates apply to the Ohio Board of Nursing and pass the NCLEX-PN to become LPNs.
• Ohio licensure requires both BCI (state) and FBI fingerprint criminal records checks.
